At its crown, the root forms a natural lemniscate — an infinity loop, unhurried and complete. Below, the base is smooth, warm, young. Above, something ancient. The contrast is the conversation.
Tama Matua means grandfather in Samoan. I am part Samoan. This piece carries that lineage — tall, calm, having seen much of life. The root did not try to form that shape. It simply grew, and time made it so.
